REPUTATION AS CURRENCY
Celebrity is a strange world.
When we meet, you can ask me all the names I’ve left out of my tales to protect the not-so-innocent … (and even then I probably won’t tell you) … but the stories I have of airport paparazzi, Cannes film festival, parties, parties, parties, A listers and the not-so-listers, and the comings and goings of the fastest set, all have three things in common.
One, there’s always a crisis needing to be managed somewhere. (And every now and then, it would be me managing it.)
Two, reputation is your currency. You work with respected actors such as Woody Harrelson or Pierce Brosnan and you see how much they’ve earned their excellent reputations.
Conversely, you meet people who throw so much away through unthinkable behaviour.
And three, celebrity is a business like any other. Not because everything is manufactured. Quite the opposite. The people who last understand who they are. They're intentional about what they say yes to. Protective of what matters. Careful with trust. And aware that reputation is built over years and lost in moments.
The best reputations aren't created overnight. They're earned.
